من مصر ومكوثهم في التيه بصحراء سيناء مُدَّةَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً . وفي فلسطين وَلَدَ السَّيِّدُ المَسيحُ وبَدَأَ دَعْوَتَهُ الإِصْلاحِيَّةَ فِيهَا . وَإِلَى القُدْسِ بِفَلَسْطِينَ أسري بالنَّبِيِّ مُحَمَّد في حادثة الإسراء والمعراج ، ثُمَّ فَتحها المُسْلِمُونَ بَعْدَ ذلك بسنوات قَليلَةٌ فِي عَهْدَ الْخَلِيفَةِ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، وَلِذَلِكَ يَتَكَوَّنُ سُكَانُ فَلَسْطِينَ الآنَ مِنْ أتباع الديانات السَّماوِيَّةِ الثَّلاث ؛ يُشكلُ اليَهُودُ حَوالَي خَمْسَةً وَأَرْبَعِينَ فِي الْمَئَةَ ، والْمُسْلِمُونَ حَوَالَيْ ٤٥ % ، والْمَسِيحِيُّونَ حوالي ١٠ ٪ (عَشْرَةً فِي الْمَئَةِ).

The first war between the Arabs and the occupying Jews took place, where the Jews were victorious and seized most of the land of Palestine, establishing the state of Israel upon it. The Palestinians continue to struggle to establish the modern state of Palestine on what can be liberated from the historical land of Palestine.

Population: The original inhabitants of the land of Palestine were known as the Canaanites. The Canaanites are Semitic tribes that migrated from the Arabian Peninsula. The population who now identify themselves as Palestinians is estimated to be around 9 million people, half of whom live as refugees outside the historical borders of Palestine. The number of Jewish inhabitants living in the occupied land of Palestine, which is now known as Israel, is estimated to be around 6 million people.

Religions: Palestine is considered a holy land for followers of the three Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The Jews came to it as occupiers after their exodus from Egypt and their wandering in the Sinai desert for forty years. In Palestine, Jesus Christ was born and began his reformative mission. It is also to Jerusalem in Palestine that the Prophet Muhammad was taken during the event of Isra and Mi'raj. Muslims conquered it a few years later during the era of Caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab. Thus, the inhabitants of Palestine now consist of followers of the three Abrahamic religions: Jews make up about 45%, Muslims about 45%, and Christians about 10%.

مكالمة تليفونيَّةٌ مَعَ الأَهْلِ فِي الْوَطَنِ

. يُوسُفُ شَابٌ من أصل فلسطيني

، من مدينة القدس بفلسطين سافر إلى أمريكا مُنْذُ عشر سنوات لدراسة الطب في جامعة أمريكية . بَعْدَ التَّخرُّج ، عَمِلَ فِي مُسْتَشْفَى مشهور، واستقر في أمريكا لَهُ أُخْتٌ واحدةً لا تزال تعيش في مدينة القدس وهي متزوجة ، ولها بنتان وولد .

. ما رَأَى يُوسُفُ أَخْتَهُ مُنْذُ أَنْ سَافَرَ إِلَى أَمْرِيكا قَبْلَ عَشر سنوات .

. اشتاق يُوسُفُ الرُؤْيَةِ أُخْتِه وأُسْرَتها ، واشتاق كذلك إلى أرض الوطن . لذلِكَ قَرَّرَ الصَّيْفَ الْمَاضِي السَّفَرَ إِلَى القُدْسِ

اتصل هاتفيا بأخته ، وأَخْبَرَها بقدومه إِلَى القُدْسَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ القادم . وقالَ لَها إِنَّ طَائِرَتَهُ سَتَصلُ السَّاعَةَ الْخَامِسَةَ

مساءًا بتوقيت القدس . . فَرحَتْ أَخْتُهُ بِهَذِهِ الأَخبار السَّارَّة ، وقالتْ إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ في استقباله في المطار ، إِنْ شَاءَ الله .

A phone call with family back home.

Yousef is a young man of Palestinian origin, from Jerusalem, Palestine, who travelled to America ten years ago to study medicine at an American university. After graduation, he worked in a famous hospital and settled in America He has one sister who still lives in Jerusalem and is married, has two daughters and a son.  Yousef has not seen his sister since he travelled to America ten years ago.  Yousef longed to see his sister and her family, and he also longed for his homeland. So he decided to travel to Jerusalem last summer, phoned his sister, and told her he would come to Jerusalem next Friday. He told her that his plane would arrive at five o'clock in the evening Jerusalem time. His sister rejoiced at this good news and said that she would be greeted at the airport, God’s willing.

2- Understand the meaning of the new terms, nouns and verbs.

3- Spelling test in both directions (Arabic to English) and (English to Arabic).
